Very comprehensive package. A wealth of knowledge. User-friendly interface.
Have showed it to my friends and have told them that if they can spend money on other materialistic goods then they can spend money on this - difference is that you will gain a lot with this insha'allah.
Only complaints are that the window size is a bit small...or I have just not figured out the full-size option yet and the search function is a bit basic like the other reviewer said.

I agree with the previous reviewer in that the interface of the Islamic scholar is not as slick as that of the Alim. However, for the sheer amount of info packed onto this CD and its features it cannot be beaten. I looked at both packages in detail, and found that the scholar has twice as much info/features than the Alim and it is priced cheaper! |

Very pleased with this software. I have recently converted to Islam and I am learning so much from it. There is still much more to learn. The only problem I have is every time I run the programme my screen goes blank and I have to press Ctrl-Alt-Del and then cancel and it works fine. I have installed the Windows XP upgrade. Any suggestions? Salaam Mike |

A good source of information, but a very poor interface. The search is very basic, no better than that found in Notepad. I would recommend The Alim over this. |

SALAM ALAIKUM, Ramadan mubarak, I am having ISLAMIC SCHOLAR which only runs in Windows 98. And almost the CD is hanging everytime in SURAT AL BAQARAH (verse 7 ) I am just retaining one PC having window 98 only to run this software. I like the concurrent URDU translation/ Audio in it. Do you have any similar software which can give same results in XP ( URDU translation & Audio.) Please advice soon

I have read the review of a previous customer, but I must disagree. I think the Islamic Scholar Pro is hand's down the best product. I will agree it has some interface issues, but the actual content, quality and quantity cannot be faulted. The standard version of the Islamic scholar which we retail for £29.99 / US$48 is comparable with the Alim v.6. They were both released at roughly the same time, but the Scholar Pro, is a next generation product which was released some years after the Alim v.6. |

I have seen an old version of ISC2 long time back when i was in KSA perhaps someone included in it urdu translation and it used to run only win 98 SE .. wonder if u would like to include translation in new product and also run on windows XP. |

I have 3 questions about Islamic scholar pro and one question in general. My first question is regarding Fiqh - I would like to know if 'Islamic scholar pro' makes distinction between the 4 different schools of thought as this is important. I see that it has complete fiqh- us- sunnah, but only full muttawa of Imam Malik. So does this mean no? Secondly, has it full Bukhari and Muslim? Thirdly, has it the whole of ibn kathir stories of the prophets or just selected stories of the prophets. My finally question is whether u sell the pro suite that includes Islamic scholar pro, duelexe Ustaad and many other CDS as I collection? |

Question 1: The Fiqh Us Sunnah contains comparisons between the various
schools. Where there are differences it will tell you according to this
scholar xxxx and according to that scholar yyyy. Please note that this is
the complete Fiqh Us Sunnah.
Question 2: Yes, the complete Sahih Bukhari and complete Sahih Muslim
amongst other books of Ahadith are included. The other books to the best of
my knowledge are also complete.
Question 3: The whole of Ibn Khathir is included..

Dear brothers and sisters,
Please read this topic carefully and pray(dowa) that Allah guide me to the right path.
When i have opened my eyes i come to know that i am muslim(Alhamdulillah).(my english is week).when i was 7 year old i come to know from my parents and friend that we r deobandi(hanfi).So when i go to colledge i have met a friend and i come to know that he was Salfi(Ahle Hadith).
He told me that there is no true Madhab but Ahle Hadith have the right path according to Quran and Hadith.He give me many books to read.
He disscuss a lot of massiles which he told me that u(Hanfi) r wrong such as,
Salaat(Raffyadain,Fatiha,Time,etc),Taqleed,Talaaq(divorce),Halala,Quran khawani,Fiqa etc.which he prove these masailes according to Saheeh Hadith books(Bukhari and Muslim).
He said to me that if u prove me wrong i will convert to ur(Hanfi) Madhab.I start reading a lot of books against Ahle Hadith such as 'Hadith and AhleHadith' and many books of Moulana Safdar, but he prove that the arguments in these books are week.
Than i go to Hanfi scholors(ALims) and told them about it, they said to me that don't touch their books if u read their books u will lost ur religion it was not satisfactory answer to me i become angri.
i am inpired these arguments.
But there is problem that when i think to become a Salfi(Ahle Hadith),i find some problems in my thought that if it is wrong then what i do?.
But his powerful arguments from Quran and Sunnah awoke me and go and get the Salfi Madhab.
Now brothers and sisters told me what should i do and pray (dowa)for me that Allah give me the right path?.
