10090. The Ministers Around The Prophet
By Abdul Aziz Ash-Shanawi

Abu Bakr As-Siddiq (RA) His Lineage He is 'Abdullah bin 'Uthman bin 'Amir bin 'Amr bin Ka'b bin Sad bin Taim bin Murrah Al-Qurashi At-Taimi. He was born two years and six months after the Year of the Elephant, the year in which the Prophet was born. Notonly was he a high-ranking member of the Quraish, but was a scholar as well. Having an in-depth knowledge :he lineage of Quraish tribesmen in particular and abs in general, Abu Bakr (RA). was perhaps the most knowledgeable genealogist of his time. And he (RA) was like Prophet (SAW) in that, during the days of ignorance (i.e., before the advent of Islam), he stayed away from the revelry and merrymaking that was common among Makkan youths. Instead, he dedicated himself to more serious pursuits; in addition to being a scholar in genealogy, he was also a respected tradesman, known to all for his noble manners and honest dealings. His Acceptance Of Islam Before another journey to Yemen, Abu Bakr's son, 'Abdul-Ka'bah, hugged him without letting go.

10093. Beyond Mere Christianity C.S. Lewis & the Betrayal of Christianity
By Brandon Toropov

The book is called Beyond Mere Christianity for two reasons. First, in response to C.S. Lewis' influential 1952 work, Mere Christianity, which stands as a masterpiece of Christian apologetics. The second reason, perhaps less obvious, is that a case can be made, based on current, responsible Gospel scholarship, that Jesus was calling his people to the Salvation that lies beyond the worship of the merely created, the Salvation that relies instead on the direct worship of the Creator. I believe emphatically that the authentic words of Jesus invite us to move beyond what is conventionally understood as Christianity for this Salvation.

10096. Studies In Literature With A Complete Hadith Terminology
By Omar Ahmed Kasir

Islam, a Religion that Promotes Knowledge Allah says, (Read: In the name of your Lord who created Man of a blood-clot. Read: And your Lord is the Most Generous who taught by the Pen, taught Man, what he knew not") These are the first verses revealed to the Prophet of Islam, Muhammad 4. They comprise all spheres of knowledge: "Reading", "Pen" and "knowledge". Therefore, Islam is a religion that promotes Knowledge. Thank our Almighty Allah who, though bestowing knowledge upon Adam, elevated the latter to a better and higher position than the Angels themselves. It is no coincidence that the word "pen" emerges here, for the human mind, which is such an incredible "storage unit" for "data", has only a limited horizon for the assimilation of all information it receives. It is a perfect combination of "read", "store" and "write"; for you can always come back to it. Briefly, the pen is very significant in that it is a means of recording ideas and the like. That is how we came to learn about ancient civilization and so forth. We deduce that there is an organic relationship between the above-mentioned items in these verses. Hence, reading and writing are vital for the acquisition of knowledge. The "Qalam" or "Pen" is another Surah (Chapter) in the Qur'an that is indicative of writing as a way of learning. A number of Qur'anic verses and "Hadith" refer to the great value of " 'ilm" (Knowledge) and "Ulama" (scholars) in Islam. It is a religion, which urges its followers to reflect o...read more

10097. Wonderful Scientific Signs in the Quran
By Zaghloul An-Najjar

BISMILLAH ARRAHMAN ARRAHEEM (In the Name of Allah, Most gracious, Most Merciful) INTRODUCTION: by MR. AHMAD FARAAJ (All praise be to Allah, Who has revealed the Book to Hi Servant, wherein there is no deviation. He has made the way straight, warning the disbelievers His Seven Punishment, and giving glad tidings to the believers who do righteous deeds, that they shall have a fair reward. They shall abide therein for ever.)' I testify that there is no deity worthy of worship but Allah Alone, with no partners, the Creator, the Inventor of all things the Bestower of forms, Who said: (Say: "Behold all that is it the heavens and the earth;" but neither signs nor warners benefit those who do not believe). I testify that our Prophet, Muhammad, is the Servant and Messenger of Allah; the Prophet who could neither read no] write, and who was praised by his Lord, when He (SAW) addressed him, saying: (Verily, You have sublime morals)3. 10098. Tafseer Al-Muawwidhatayn- Explanation of Surah al-Falaq, Surah An-Nas
By Ibn Al-Qayyim Al-Jawziyah

All Praise is due to Allah, we seek His Help, and we seek His Protection against the evils of our bad deeds and ourselves. He, who is guided by Allah, none will lead him astray, and he, who goes astray, has no guide (to the right path). I testify that there is no deity, worthy of worship, but Allah (SWT) Alone, and I testify that Muhammad (SAW) is His Servant and Messenger This edition, which I present to the reader, is "Tafsir Al Mu`awwidhatayn", a valued subject of Ibn Al-Qayyim AlJawziyyah, taken from his book "Badai` Al-Fawa'id". It is a sound proof of his vast knowledge, and his extensive research in the knowledge of the interpretation of the Qur'an. This subject was initially taken from the book named above and published exclusively by Professor Qusay Muhib-ud-Din. Having read it, I found some errors in the extraction of the Verses of the Qur'an, and believe that these errors were not due to the author; they were either copying errors from the publisher, who unintentionally missed out some numbers, or of the printers. So I sorted out the references of the Verses of the Qur'an, and also introduced the extraction of the Prophet's Traditions that were mentioned in the book. With the Help from Allah (SWT), I managed to produce the following: A short biography of the author - Extraction of the Verses of the Qur'an, giving the name of the Surah and number of its Verse - Extraction of the Traditions (Ahadith) of the Prophet

10099. Beware of Dajjal and Gog and Magog
By Magdy M. Al-Shahawi

In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful Verily, all praise is due to God, Allah the Almighty. We praise him and seek His guidance and forgiveness. And we seek refuge in Allah from the evils of our own selves and from our bad deeds. Whosoever has been guided by Allah, none can misguide him. We bear witness that there is no deity but Allah, being alone, without partner or associate. And we further bear witness that Muhammad is His bondsman and messenger. The best speech is that of the Qur'an, and the best guidance is that of Muhammad (SAW) and the wicked matter is that of heretic innovations, and each heresy is an error. (0 you who believe! Fear Allah as He should be feared and die not except in a state of Islam) (Al-Imran: 102) (0 mankind! Fear Your Guardian Lord, Who created you from a single person, created, out of it, his mate, and from them twain scattered (like seeds) countless men and women;- fear Allah, through whom you demand your mutual ( rights), and be heedful of the wombs ( that bore you): for Allah ever watches over you) ( An-Nisaa: 1) (0 you who believe! Fear Allah, and make your utterance straight forward: that He may make your conduct whole and sound and forgive you your sins: he that obeys Allah and His Messenger, has already attained the great victory) (Al-Ahzab: 70-71).

By Khashi Haqqi

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful Allah (SWT) says: (If you fear that you will not be able to deal justly with the orphans, marry women of your choice, two or three or four; but if you fear that you shall not be able to deal justly (with them), then only one or (the captives or the slaves) that your right hands possess. That will be more suitable to prevent you from doing injustice) (An-Nisa': 3). Praise be to Allah (SWT) who has prescribed for His Servants a religion (Islam) that is beneficial to them in this world and the Hereafter, and Peace and Blessing be upon His Messengers and Prophets who were guided by His Guidance and conveyed His Religion. The last and seal of His Messengers was Muhammad Ibn Abdillah (SAW). He (SAW) was the best to advise his Ummah and convey the True Message, by words, deeds and his character.
