Calling to Allaah is a very great honour which is not reached through ease, response and love of relaxation. It is not reached except through beneficial knowledge, righteous action, deep understanding and careful following of the way of the Prophets in calling to Allaah. In this book Shaykh Rabee' ibn Haadee al-Madkhalee explains in detail the methodology of the Prophets in their call to Allaah. In it, he answers those questions which face every caller to the faith who wishes to follow the footsteps of the Prophets: What should his call begin with? What should he concentrate on? And what is the goal of his da'wah to Allaah? The author then compares the methods of the Prophets with the different methodologies employed by various contemporary da'wah groups and movements that have arisen in our time and highlights the stark contrasts between these new, innovated methodologies and the pure and perfect Prophetic way. This book is an important guide for all those active in the field of da'wah, giving them an insight into the methodology of da'wah which the Prophets employed and how it is a divine and precise methodology which leaves no room for personal opinions, experimentation or individual inclinations.
The source of all evil is the deviation from the truth and its straight path. The goodness of all matters is the following of truth and adherence to its right way. Truth is the fixed state in which Allah has created every creature in a particular way and managed its affair in a certain manner. Allah is Perfect and exempt from any deficiency or error. This book aims to elucidate the pillars of Emaan (basis of belief, faith) and the characteristics of Kufr (disbelief) and its causes
One of the joys that Allah, the Most high, grants his servant is to love His beloved Noble Prophet, sallallahu 'alayhi was sallam, and how can it be otherwise, when to love the Prophet, is one of the conditions of faith? In the same way that love of the Prophet, is a reason for attaining the good of this world and the Hereafter, then loving him is also a reason for achieving the sweetness of eemaan. Loving the Prophet, will also be a means of taking one to the place of felicity.

The hadith known as the "hadith of Gabriel" is one of the most comprehensive hadith of the Prophet (peace be upon him). It touches upon almost every deed of Islam. Qaadhi Iyadh has pointed out that this hadith covers all of the aspects of internal and outward acts of worship. It touches upon the deeds that are related to the external organs as well as that of the heart. Indeed, he stated, "[It covers the religion] to such an extent that all religious sciences are found in it and branch out from it." This hadith is also known as "Umm al-Sunnah" (or "the foundation of the Sunnah") in the same way that Surah al-Faatiha is called "Umm al-Kitaab" (or "the Foundation of the Book"). In the same way that Surah al-Faatiha encompasses the meaning of the Qur'an as a whole, this hadith encompasses the meaning of the Sunnah as a whole. This commentary of this hadith, extracted from the author's "Commentary on the Forty Hadith al-Nawawi," is one of many such commentaries throughout the history of Islam. It is, though, the first such commentary available in the English language.
