About the Author Dr. Muhammad Jamil Ghazi, may Allah have mercy on his soul, passed away about seven or eight years ago. After graduating from al-Azhar University, Sheik Ghazi dedicated his life studying, teaching and reviving the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad, may the blessing and peace of Allah be upon him. His major affiliation in these endeavors was with the Ansar al Sunnah organization in Egypt. Besides the present book, Sheik Ghazi wrote and edited many important books relative to understanding Islam as preached and practiced by al Salaf al Salih. Shaykh Abdullahi is a world known scholar was the Minister of Justice in Mauritania at the age of 26, and Vice President of his country. Shaykh Hamza calls him brilliant and says that his area of expertise include many branches of the Islamic sacred sciences. He is an expert in Arabic language, Qur'anic sciences, all four schools of fiqh, and Usul al-fiqh. He has taught Usul al-fiqh for years at jeddah Islamic University and is known for his understanding of this science. The text used for this course was the Egyptian scholar al-`Imriti's poem version of Imam al-Haramayn al-Juwayni's al-Waraqat.
