The story of prophet Nuh (as) has been told in many surahs in the quran. Therefore they are many lessons to be learned from this story. The shaikh outline the many lesson we can learn from Nuh (as). The people of Nuh (as) were the first people to commit the crime of shirk. Allah say
We relate unto you (Muhammad saw) the best of stories through our revelation unto you, of this Quran, And before this (i.e before the coming of the Divine Revelation to you), you were among those who knew nothing about it (the Quran) (12:3)
And verily, this (Quran) is a reminder for the Muttaqun (the pious). (70:48)
This surah explains that Allah (swt) has given everyone a conscience, or inner voice, to be able to know the difference between right and wrong. Those who follow the conscience are the successful one and those that don't listen and listen to satan they are the losers in this life and the next. The second part tell the story of the tribe of thamud and their prophet Salih (a.s) and how the tribe of Thamud kill the she camel of allah (swt). The shaikh expands on the many lesson we can learn from this surah.
By the sun and its brightness, And the moon when it follows (the sun), By the day when it shows (the sun's brightness), And by the night when it hides it, By the sky and He who spread it, By the soul and he who perfected it, And inspired it (with a conscience) to know what is wrong for it and what is right for it: Surely the one who purifies it will be successful, And surely the one who curropts it will fail, (The people of) Thamud denied (their prophet) through their rebelliousness, When the worse of them was sent (to carry out mischief), The messenger of Allah said: 'It is the (female) camel of Allah, so let her drink!' But they rejected him and hamstrung her, so their Lord crushed them for their sin and levelled them (down to the ground), but he has not been afraid of the result of his action (91:1-15)
Salat such an important act of ibaadah without it our other deeds are worthless as salat will be one of the first act of ibaadah that will be shown to allah (swt) and if our salat are intact then our other deeds will be shown. As the prophet (saw) in his dying bed said "remember your salat remember your salat.." as allah says
..Verily, As-Salat (the prayer) is enjoined on the believers at fixed hours. (4:103)
The shaikh also speaks on the fiq issues of raising the hand in salat? If we should move the index finger in tassahud? where to put the hands in salat etc?
