Foreword by Maulana Muhammed Yusuf Ludhyanwi Allah, has created man and woman as couples so that they may effectively assist each other to lead their lives in a manner that pleases Allah. The blessing of leading such a life will be prosperity and happiness in this world coupled with delight when standing before Allaah on the Day of Qiyaamah. As a result of this, eternal happiness in Jannah will be secured. However, this can be achieved only when both husband and wife fulfil each other's rights with the intention of pleasing Allah. Furthermore, the basis for preserving love and affection between the couple depends more on the wisdom, tolerance and pleasant-naturedness of the wife. A pleasant and good-natured wife easily converts a home of this world into a garden of Jannah. On the contrary, a miserable and ill-natured wife can turn a home into a pit of Jahannam. Not only does she suffer the consequences of her behaviour. but so does the husband together with both their families My good friend, Maulana Mufti Muhammed Haneef (may Allah keep him in peace) has written this book so that married couples may glean from its light and create an atmosphere of love, compassion and serenity in their homes. In doing this, they will be blessed with the bounties of the Aakhirah. I have perused through some parts of the book and hope that the rest of the book is also as correct. May Allah make the book beneficial to the Ummah.

No one denies that the modesty which is commanded by Islamic Law and by convention includes the decency and decorousness demanded of a woman, and the kind of behavior that will ensure that she is kept far away from situations of temptation and suspicion. Further more, there is no doubt that the greatest act of modesty that she can perform is to wear the hijab, which covers her face. It is the best thing with which she can adorn herself, because it protects her and keeps her far removed from temptation.
