1. What Is The Origin Of Man
By M. Bucaille

click here for reviews  (1 review)

What is the Origin of Man ? is a work of mature reflection written with the aim of exposing outmoded antagonisms between science and religion, and showing that far from standing in opposition, the two are perfectly compatible. Whatever the reader's personal beliefs, he will find here many concrete facts that are all too often overlooked when the subject of man's origins is raised. Thus, the reader will be better equipped to take a fresh look at the contribution made by genuine scientific discoveries - free from all ideo!ogy - and by the new light that has been cast on the Holy Scriptures. In Maurice Bucaille. we have a rare example of a medical practitioner who has closely studied the Scriptures of the monotheistic religions. At age fifty, he learned Arabic in order thoroughly to understand the original text of the Qur'an. Since the publication of The Bible. the Qur'an and Science in 1976 (now a best-seller in France and the Muslim world), Doctor Bucaille has become a respected commentator on the Holy Scriptures, particularly the Our'an, to which he brings the benefits of his wide-ranging scientific knowledge. He at present enjoys an impressive reputation that extends from Africa to Indonesia - indeed, wherever his book has been translated and published. For over forty years, the author has gathered information from many different disciplines, devoting special attention to modern genetics and molecular biology. The synthesis that emerges from his study is so detailed and fa...read more

Throughout history, humans have used Black Cumin, the Black Seed from the plant of Negilla Sativa, as a nutritive, preventative and curative agent. In the Arab world, Black Cumin earned the name of Habbat al-Barakah, or 'The Blessed Seed' after the Prophet Muhammad sallallahu 'alyhi wasallam mentioned it's curative value. Recent researches have found that black cumin contains a complex synergy of over one hundred chemicals that work together to enhance and strengthen the immune system of the human body that no other natural substance has ever been known to do. This book goes through the history, traditions and findings of the recent researches regarding the healing power of the miraculous seed of Negilla Sativa

3. Preventive Measures Against Shaytan and Authentic Ruqyah
By Mustafa Ibn Al-Adawi

New

It is the battle with Iblees, may Allah curse him and his party that has been the principal battle since the time the enemy of Allaah resolved to pursue Aadam and his offspring in all situations and at all times, coming to him from all directions and following him every minute, as Allaah The Lord of all Creation informed us: (Ibless) said: Allow me respite until the Day they raised up. Allaah said: You are of those given respite. (Iblees) said: because You have sent me astray I will sit against the (mankind) on Your Straight Path. Then I will come to them from in front of them and behind them, for their right and their left, and You will not find most of them thankful to You. Ash-Shaytaan this announced this struggle as a fierce, murderous war, springing from his evil nature, arrogance and rancor toward mankind. He has sought the permission of Allaah to fight, and Allaah has granted His permission for a wisdom He knows. Thus ash-Shaytaan has come forth executing and deriding His slaves. I therefore sought the guidance of Allaah in gathering the "Islamic equipment" that will overcome Shaytaan and his party. The result was this treatise, in which I have explained the Divine warning against the Shaytaan's deception. I ask Allaah that it be a protection for the Believers against the plots of Shaytaan and the deceptions of Iblees.

4. Medicine Of The Prophet
By Jalal-uddin As-Suyuti

A unique edition of this exceptional work by one of the most famous of Muslim scholars. Originally written in Arabic, this book is packed with a detailed description of the most common physical and spiritual diseases experienced by people throughout the ages. The author indicates the remedies for these by drawing both from the Qur'an and the wisdom of the Prophet Muhammad, blessings and peace be on him. Doctors and scientists may debate the effectiveness of traditional medicines, but the positive results and soothing effects of this medicine have been obvious to millions of people during the last fourteen centuries.Written nearly five hundred years ago, this unique work, now translated into easily readable English, gives a clear insight into a perspective of medicine - and an understanding of what constitutes and causes illness and healing - that have either largely been lost by those who once possessed them, or else not yet discovered by those who have never had access to them. The author gives a detailed description of both physical and spiritual diseases and their remedies, drawing both from the Qur'an and from the wisdom of the one to whom it was revealed - who said,, "Allah the Almighty has not created any illness without also creating its cure - except death," may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and who also said, "My sunnah is my medicine." It is clear from as-Suyuti's writing that his knowledge of medicine was not merely academic, but based on sound practice and...read more

10. The Bible The Quran And Science
By Maurice Bucaille

The Bible, the Qur'an and Science is an outcome of a long and sustained effort of Dr. Maurice Bucaille, an eminent French surgeon, scientist and scholar. It represents the sum-total of his life-long investigation about science and scriptures and their mutual relationship. This work has proved to be a unique contribution in the field of religion and science. The book appeared some twenty-five years ago in its original French version. Later it was translated into English and earned a wide readership of enthusiastic admirers. It was translated into several other languages including Arabic, Persian, Turkish, Urdu and Malay. The author examines the origins of the Old Testament, sources and history of the Gospels and highlights evidence of science in it. He explores the authenticity of the Qur'an, identifies scientific phenomena described in the Qur'an such as the creation of heavens and earth, astronomy, earth science, water cycle, animal and plant kingdoms and human reproduction. Dr. Maurice Bucaille addressed the French Academy of Medicine in 1976 concerning the existence in the Qur'an of certain statements on physiology and reproduction. He reasoned that: " ...our knowledge of these disciplines is such that it is impossible to explain how a text produced at the time of the Qur'an could have contained ideas that have only been discovered in modern times..."

11. Medical Miracles of The Qur'an
By Dr Sharif Kaf Al-Ghazal

Medical Miracles of the Qur’an explores some of the Qur’anic references to medicine and science in the light of the latest scholarship. The Qur’an repeatedly asks man to reflect on the signs of Allah scattered in his own being and around him. For this is the way to gain his strong belief in Allah. Taking the cue from this Qur’anic directive, the Qur’anic allusions to medicine and science are elucidated in this work.

13. Science and Civilisation
By Seyyed Hossein Nasr

The Western world as concentrated its intellectual energies upon the study of the quantitative aspects of things, thus developing a science of Nature, whose all too obvious fruits in the physical domain have won for it's the greatest esteem among people everywhere, for most of whom "science" is identified with technology and its applications. Islamic science, by contrast, seeks ultimately to attain such knowledge as will contribute toward the spiritual perfection and; deliverance of anyone capable of studying it; thus its fruits are inward and hidden, its values more difficult to discern. To understand it requires placing one-self within its perspective, and accepting as legitimate a science of Nature, which has a different end, and uses different means, from those of modern science. If it is unjust to identify Western science solely with its material results, it is even more unjust to judge medieval science by its outward "usefulness" alone. However important its uses may have been in calendarial work, in irrigation, in architecture, its ultimate aim has always, been to relate the corporeal. world to its basic spiritual principle, through the knowledge of those symbols which unite the various orders of reality. It can only be understood, and should only be judged, in terms of its own aims and its own perspectives."

14. The Creation of the Universe
By Harun Yahya

Ruling over the world of science in the 19th century, the materialist philosophy had proposed that the universe is an uncontrolled heap of matter that existed since infinite time. The discoveries made in the twentieth century, however, entirely refuted this materialist claim. Today, science has proven that the universe had a beginning, that is, it was created from nothing. With this beginning called the Big Bang, both matter and time were created from nothing. Moreover, the discoveries made in the last 30-40 years have revealed that the physical balances of the universe are organized in an extraordinarily precise way. All physical balances of the universe from the rate of the explosion (Big Bang), to the values of the four basic forces of physics, from the nuclear reactions in stars to the structure of atom, are tailored to support human life. The structure of the earth, its place in space, and its atmosphere are all designed just as they have to be. The physical and chemical properties of atoms such as carbon and oxygen, or molecules such as water are ordered to make human life possible. Shortly put, there is no room for coincidence in the universe. The entire universe is created according to a certain purpose and in a glorious equilibrium, harmony and order. This is the exalted and flawless creation of Allah, "the Lord of All Worlds". Allah states this fact as follows in the Qur'an: Your Lord is Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth in six days and then settled Hims...read more

15. Islamic Sciences :Ethics, Law, Education, Economics, Politics, Sociology and System planning
By S.Waqar Ahmed Husaini

Islamic Sciences: Ethics, Law, Education, Economics, Politics, Sociology, and Systems Planning. This book is an introduction to certain Islamic "sciences" (ideology): epistemology, education, jurisprudence, ethics and law, politics, economics, philosophy and history of science, and sociology of culture and development. These disciplines are applied in "Islamic systems planning", particularly the engineering. The basic sources are the Quran which is used extensively, selected Traditions (Sunnah, Hadith) of Prophet Muhammad, the legacy of Islamic thought from the earliest to modern times, and contemporary "rational" ('aqaliyyah, or secularized) knowledge of the social and natural sciences and engineering. This is a modern pioneering work on the principles and methodology of Islamization of all knowledge, i.e., the Islamization of the contemporary ideological and technological cultures, through use of the above "sources" and modern ijtihad (Islamic expert opinion). This illustrates the Quranic principle of "integration" (tawhid), exemplified by Prophet Muhammad, through use of revelation (wahy) and reason ('aql), and imitation (taqlid) and "good" innovation (bid'ah hasanah). S. Waqar Ahmed Husaini (Ph.D., Engineering-Economic Systems Planning, Stanford University, California), is the Founder-President, Institute of Islamic Sciences, Technology, and Development and, since 1986, Visiting Scholar, Stanford University. In the Islamic and comparative contexts, he has taught civil a...read more

20. Quran and Modern Science Comatible or incompatible
By Zakir Naik

Description of the book The Qur'an, however, is not a book of Science but a book of 'Signs'. These signs invite Man to realize the purpose of his existence on earth, and to live in harmony with Nature. The Qur'an is truly a message from Allah, the Creator and Sustainer of the universe. It contains the same Message of the Oneness of God, that was preached by all prophets, right from Adam, Moses, Jesus to Muhammad (peace be upon them). Several detailed tomes have been written on the subject of Qur'an and modern science and further research in this field is on. Insha'Allah, this research will help mankind to come closer to the Words of the Almighty. This booklet contains only a few of the scientific facts present in the Qur'an. I cannot claim to have done full justice to the subject. Prof. Tejasen accepted Islam on the strength of just one scientific 'sign' mentioned in the Qu'ran. Some people may require ten signs while some may require hundred signs to be convinced about the Divine origin of the Qur'an. Some would be unwilling to accept the Truth even after being shown a thousand signs.
