Aisha (Radia Allahu Anha) was the most beloved wife to the Holy Prophet (Bpuh) after the demise of Khadijah (Radia Allahu Anha). Being the daughter of Abu Bakr (Radia Allahu Anhu) Allah bestowed upon her great insight, intelligence, eloquence and a sharp memory. She became the fourth most prolific narrator of hadeeth. Her knowledge of the Quran and hadeeth was so unique and amazing that companions such as Abu Musa Al-Ashari Radia Allahu Anhu would say, ‘Never would a hadeeth become difficult for us except that we would find some knowledge of that hadeeth with Aisha Radia Allahu Anha.This in itself dispels and eradicates the notion and myth that Islam discourages learning and scholarship for the women of this Ummah.
