Buddhism is full of superstition and error. This film portrays the religion of Buddhism and its irrational practices. Those who regard Buddhism as a road to peace and contentment should pay close attention to the truths described in this film.
It is a good dvd to get some basic knowledge on Buddhism but I would not give this dvd to a Buddhist as the language was a bit sarcastic, the music too dramatic and the film was constantly interrupted with a statue of buddha in hellfire.
Using these techniques sadly made it seem like a propaganda video rather than an unbiased discussion on the errors of Buddhism.
The opinions within it seemed to be a personal point of view rather than a product of rational thinking e.g. saying that Buddhism was a religion of superstitions and pointless rituals. A non-Muslim upon hearing this would immediately think that Islam also has superstitions and pointless rituals like belief in jinn and angels and performing salah, dikhr and hajj.
This is simply my own opinion but I understand that the dvd may benefit certain people. Apologies and forgiveness for the criticism. InshaAllah if it helps us make a better dawah dvd then maybe we can all gain from it.
