Habil & Qabil (Cain & Abel) is a 40 minute animated film based on the works of Sayyid Qutub, which in-turn were based upon the revelations of the Holy Quran. This is a high quality 3D modelled animated film. It is the story of the sons of Prophet Adam (pbuh) and how one came to kill the other being spurred by the evil whisperings of Shaitan.
Included is the Amani PC Islamic Quiz Game.

I am still waiting for the product to be delivered as simply islam sent me a used one, and worst it was scratched and unplayable. But I have watched it on YouTube, thus still rating it |

great story, animation dated but my children didnt seem to be bothered by this. we all enjoed the dvd. and it sparked some lovely conversation afterward where my children said that they wanted to serve Allah and embrace islam.Alhamdulillah! |

I can't tell you how excited I was to get this. However, the first DVD I received did not work on a U.S. DVD player, I sent it back and you sent another saying it should work but it did not. Then I asked a friend to buy one at the ISNA conference and it did not work either. Either you are sending out bad DVDs or they don't work inthe U.S. and you should not be sending them here. I sent my DVDs to friends in Egypt. |

Salam,
An excellent set. My family and cousins that I have lent it to really liked the way the story of the two sons of Adam PBUH was put across. I exprienced problems whilst playing it on my computer but it was fine on my DVD player, so SimplyIslam.com replaced it completely FREE (Subhanallah), customer service for this site is A1 Mashallah. I have to say the replacement still didn't play on my computer but that maybe because I have a really old DVD-Drive.
The Amani Game was cool. It is played direct from the CD so no installation or hard disk space is required. My little sis enjoy it.
I'm waiting for the directors of the DVD to bring more movies and games out. Price is reasonable.

I bought this because I had the book and thought the pictures were of a high quality. However I was disappointed with the cartoon- although it's an interesting story, the overall product is average due to poor animation and sound effects. Having said this, I greatly appreciate the effort made to make an Islamic product on what was possibly a low budget, and hope that in the future Allah will provide greater resources to explore creative ways of entertaining and educating our children. |

the cartoon was very nice even the PC game but the game wouldn't say the right answer when got it wrong and also i would like it without music or not as much.

I bought this with intention of my 6yr old learning something about Islam. The idea is great and it's in English, for a change - which is better.
The cartoon is good as the kids learnt something from it - I guess they goal was reached HOWEVER, it's a very slow paced cartoon and I fell asleep watching it...
The book is good - I recommend that
As for the pc game - it's not really a learning program - it's a quiz - no teaching goes on so can't confirm answers, I'm ashamed to say had to guess one or two. |

In the your description of this dvd, you mentioned "The animated film is unique in that it is the only film for children that is based upon a story from the Holy Quran." I have to disagree with this statement and I hope you will remove it and not advertise the movie as such because the first animated film for children that is based upon a story from the Holy Quran is Salam's Journey. Salam's Journey is in Arabic and English and it was produced in the United States by International Cartoons and Animation Center (www.familytoons.com). The movie Salam's Journey depicts Surat Al-Fil (The Elephant).

It is really suitable for kids of all ages as we have noticed that kids watch the same thing at different levels. For example children of 3yrs old will watch the colourful animation and pick up on certain lines from the film. Children upto 7 will fully understand the story and kids over this age will comprehend the magnitude of this true story and the final conclusion at the end of the film. |
