A systematic treatment of one of the most dangerous spiritual diseases, by which the intention is misdirected and the reward of good deeds is lost. Draws on the works of early scholars, like Ibn al-Jawzee and Ibn Rajab, as well as modern scholars. Written by: Yasir al-Qathi. Dar al Fatah is an Islamic Publishing firm established in the Emirate of Sharjah, U. A. E., in 1993 with the goal of O encouraging Muslims to return to the Qur'aan and the authentic traditions (Sunnah) of Prophet Muhammad and to understand them according to the way of the early righteous scholars of Islaam. O alerting Muslims to the various idolatrous practises (Shirk), religious innovations (Bid'ah) and fabricated traditions falsely attributed to the Prophet pbuh which continue to distort the beauty of Islaam and hinder the advancement of Muslims. ABOUT THE BOOK In this work, the author has combined the efforts of early scholars, like Ibn al-Jawzee and Ibn Rajah, with that of modern scholars like Saleem al-Hilaalee and `Abdul-`Azeez `Abdul-Lateef, to study the spiritual disease of Riyaa'. The result is a very comprehensive, yet concise, treatise on the subject of Riyaa' in which all the hadeeth references are verified and authenticated, as well as English hadeeth references identified. It is, without a doubt, a very important addition to the English Islamic library, which presently lacks any specialized works on the topic. Its importance cannot be overstressed, because the character which Islaam seeks to build would be incomplete without a clear understanding of this subject.
